Push Fit System (PF)

The “PF” system is a single or twin walled product designed to convey gases, particles, fumes, smoke and products of combustion from a wide range of engineering combustion and process equipment. It is a lightweight engineered system designed to be utilised where the system is operating under a negative draught and in dry conditions.

PF is suitable for a continuous flue gas operating temperature of 760°C, and can be used internally and externally. The system consists of straight lengths and a variety of fittings, which in combination with its pressure resistance features, enables it to be used in various configurations. PF is available in a variety of formats dependent on both the type of equipment it is to serve, and the temperature of the gases it carries.

In addition to the standard 25mm insulated product, a mineral fibre insulated annulus can be provided, 50mm, 75mm and l00mm thick.

Assembly

The liner has a 40mm male spigot, which inserts into the female end of the adjoining section. Sealant is applied to this joint to ensure a seal is made. If single wall is utilised then it can be held in place by Tek screws or rivets to ensure a sound mechanical joint. Clamp Bands are used to close the annulus when a twin wall application is utilised.

Joint Sealants

Low temperature sealant for applications up to 300°C flue gas temperature.

Supports

The PF system must be supported using only KelBie components, in conjunction with suitable steel work as necessary. Care is needed to ensure that supports capable of accommodating expansion (where appropriate) are correctly applied.

Specification

The PF system is available in sizes between 100mm and 1200mm (6” to 48”) internal diameter. For this reason, catalogue items for the 650mm-1200mm diameter range are not as comprehensive as the smaller diameter range. If such components are required, please consult KelBie. Installed straight lengths are 150, 300, 450, 600, 750, 1000 and 1210mm long. External diameter is 52mm greater than internal diameter for full range.
